A journey in UI Design

I’ve never considered  myself a graphic designer, Its always seemed unapproachable to me, way out of my skill set. 

Though I’ve learned a ton while working on Monjoshi, It is quite honestly a underlooked element in the RPGM community, usually defaulting to the use of the stock window system. While learning to create sprites I ended up converting the default MV menu into a touch/mouse friendly UI. Something i find much more appropriate for these PC platform-bound games.


I had to learn a few things like composition and color theory, but this his actually been a very enjoyable process, I am anticipating the part where I design a datalog/bestiary. 

I’d like to see just how far I can push the engine towards this kind of control scheme, perhaps I may try my hand at a mobile game…
